Police are looking for the thief that stole the cash box from a downtown Bend clothing store after First Friday Gallery Walk.
Someone took the cash box from 541 Threads at 121 N.W. Minnesota Ave. around 10:30 p.m. Friday, said Zack Nutter, the shop’s co-owner. The box was found a couple of blocks from the store, but the money, estimated at about $250, was gone. The money was from clothing sales that night.
While Bend police have identified three “people of interest" in the case, a suspect had not been identified, said Brian Beekman of the Bend Police Department.
Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call police dispatch at 541-693-6911, Beekman said. The case number is No. 13-3128.
