Stayton - Carol was born at home to Grace and Fred Werth in Grand Ronde, OR.
She married Jim Wampler on Sept. 12, 1950. This wonderful union lasted 62 years.
Carols family was the most important achievement of her life. Having four children, being active in 4-H, and her involvement with international exchange students brought a large diversity to family life. Carol and Jim, along with her brother, Ken, were active partners in farming for over 40 years.
She is survived by her children, Susan and Mike Horvat, Deb and Jeff Bitton and John and Gina Wampler; eight grandchildren; and eight great- grandchildren.
Burial was held in Powell Butte beside Jim and her son, Steve. A Celebration of Life will be held on, Saturday, January 12, at 2:00 p.m., at Calvary Lutheran Church in Stayton.
