8:45 a.m., Armed Forces Bowl, Air Force vs. Rice, ESPN: The Air Force offense, which is second nationally with 329 yards rushing per game, has only 17 pass attempts in its past three games, including none in one of those games. Rice is 91st nationally in rushing defense, allowing 193 yards per game.

12:15 p.m., Pinstripe Bowl, Syracuse vs. West Virginia, ESPN: Snow is expected in the New York area, so that could slow down the prolific offense of QB Geno Smith, WR Tavon Austin and the Mountaineers.

1 p.m., Fight Hunger Bowl, Arizona State vs. Navy, ESPN2: The unorthodox triple-option offensive attack for the Midshipmen should test the Sun Devils’ defense, which ranked 75th against the run this season.

3:45 p.m., Alamo Bowl, Oregon State vs. Texas, ESPN: See story above.

7:15 p.m., Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl, Michigan State vs. Texas Christian, ESPN: Both teams are trying to build momentum for next season after limping down the stretch in 2012. TCU opened with four straight wins in its first season in the Big 12 before losing four of six, while the Spartans had a similar finish after opening 4-2.
