Venus Blanche Arnold of Terrebonne, OR, died December 23, 2012, at the age of 87. She was born March 21, 1925, in Fresno, CA, to Thurman and Esther (Petersen) Murphy. Venus grew up and attended school in Fresno, CA. On February 10, 1943, she married Jack Arnold. They lived in Bishop, CA, where she worked as a nurse at the County Hospital. In 1985, they relocated to Central Oregon, and lived in their home in Terrebonne. Venus enjoyed cooking, sewing, knitting, gardening and her farm animals.
She is survived by her son, Charles Arnold of Terrebonne; daughters, Jacqueline Johnson of Stockton, CA, Delores Crawford of Terrebonne and Edith Gworck of San Jose, CA; six grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Arnold; two brothers, Thurman Higgins Murphy Jr. and Bud Holdsclaw; and her sister, Ruth Horn; and one grandchild.
