James Lawson Pete Polley of Bend, OR, passed away peacefully with his wife at his side on December 22, 2012, at Hospice House in Bend, OR. He was taken from us at the young age of 57, by Mesothelioma.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012, at 1:00 p.m., at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, located at 201 Oak Grove Road, NW in Salem, OR. An urn committal service will immediately follow.

Pete was born May 3, 1955, in Salem, OR, to James and Mabel Polley. He grew up in North Salem and graduated from North Salem High School in 1973. He lived in Central Oregon for over 20 years. On March 6, 2010, he married his high school sweetheart Terri Lynn Williams.

He spent much of his career as a service writer/ manager in the automobile industry. He made lifelong bonds with co-workers from Toyota of Salem, Pro Caliber Motorsports of Bend and Subaru of Bend.

Pete was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing all over Oregon. His favorite times were chasing the Salmon run, fly fishing the Fall River and trout fishing at Diamond Lake.

Terri would like to send a special thank you to Jim and Mabel for raising the most thoughtful, caring, giving and overall wonderful man she's ever known.

Pete is survived by his loving wife, Terri Polley; and their 17 grandchildren and seven children; sons, James Polley, Travis Hayes, Justin Hayes; and daughters, Jennifer Fraley, Shannon Mode, Christy Levin, Angela Mode. Pete is also survived by his brother, Dave Polley; and his proud parents, James and Mabel Polley.

Memorial contributions in Pete's memory may be made to Partners In Care, the Hospice House at 2075 NE Wyatt Court, Bend, OR 97701, where a memorial rock has been placed for Pete in the Memory Garden for loved ones to visit.
