Maxine passed away from complications after having a brain tumor removed on November 29. She was 76 years young. She had a great appreciation and love of life, skiing, kayaking, camping, hiking, taking long walks on the beach and enjoyed spending time with many friends and of course, her family. Maxine was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Dr. Robert V. Gauthier, and survived by her three children, Robert, Desiree and Dan; and four grandchildren, Sean, Bailey, Spencer and Cole; as well as her life partner, Brent Burningham.
The family would like to give our heartfelt thanks to the staff of St. Charles Hospital whose help and unwavering professionalism made an impossible situation bearable.
A celebration of life will be arranged in the early part of 2013.
Donations can be made in Maxine's name to the American Cancer Society or local Hospice.
