The Crater Lake Science & Learning Center is accepting applications for its 2013 Artist-in-Residence program at the park.
Writers, sculptors, photographers, painters, dancers, musicians, composers and cinematographers are encouraged to apply for the residency. One emerging and one established artist will be chosen to interpret Crater Lake National Park’s beauty through the creation of art.
The chosen artists will experience up to two weeks at Crater Lake National Park. Time in residence can be used to connect with the landscapes and the people of the park, or to begin expressing understanding of climate change through art. Artists may choose either a winter (April/May) or fall residency.
The winter residency artists will be able to showcase their work at the Art on the Rim art show in July. The deadline to apply is Feb. 1.
