Air Force Airman Michael Merrell graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. He is a 2003 graduate of Mountain View High School and the son of Donald and Robin Merrell, of Walnut Shade, Mo.

Air Force Airman Maricella Ruiz graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. She is a 2009 graduate of Woodburn High School and the daughter of Martin Ruiz, of Woodburn, and Lupe Tenorio-Ruiz, of Madras.
