Culver agricultural company Round Butte Seed has been purchased by a Tennessee crop protection company.
Helena Chemical Co., based near Memphis, finalized the purchase Friday, according to a news release.
Helena distributes crop production chemicals and pest repellents. The company has more than 3,000 workers in 350 sales locations nationwide, according to its website.
Round Butte Seed was founded in 1961 by a group of Culver families. The company has retail stores in Bend, Prineville, Culver and Christmas Valley.
No employees are expected to be laid off, according to the news release. A Helena official said the Bend and Prineville locations will likely keep the Round Butte Seed name for another month or two, while the others will change to Helena Chemical Co. immediately.
