Margaret Risteen Peterson, of Redmond, passed away at her home December 13, 2012, surrounded by her family.

Margaret (Eseke) Peterson was born August 18, 1933, in Prince Edward Island, Canada. Moving to Spokane, Washington, at the age of 8, she attended schools in Spokane graduating from North Central High School and Eastern Washington College with an Associates Degree.

Margaret married Marvin L. Peterson in 1955, they enjoyed a beautiful marriage of 57 years. Marvin preceded her in death September 17, 2012.

She worked as a bookkeeper for Erikson's Stationery for many years before retiring.

Her interests included bowling, travel, fishing, camping, trips to Reno and Kah-Nee-Ta and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her two brothers, Sterling Moreside of Wasaga Beach, Ontario, Canada, and David Eseke of Arizona; sons, Mark of Corvallis, Oregon, Greg, Jeff and Tim all of Redmond, Oregon; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also preceding her in death was her brother, David Moreside.

A private family graveside service at Redmond Memorial Cemetery will be followed by a public service at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 21, 2012, at the Community Presbyterian Church, 529 NW 19th St., Redmond, with refreshments to follow.
