The end of 2012 has brought a glut of new albums from local artists, including “Nu Terra," the latest from nuevo flamenco fireball Todd Haaby and his band Sola Via.
Haaby’s style, according to his bio, is the result of a childhood spent learning music theory and listening to Eddie Van Halen, and the Latin and Spanish influences he has picked up as an adult. Live, he and his band make things nice and steamy in their exotic, acoustic way.
People love it, which is why the band’s album-release show tonight is sold out.
