The gate at Tumalo Falls was closed Saturday for the season, according to the Deschutes National Forest.
The road beyond the gate is closed to motorized traffic, although visitors can continue to recreate in the area on foot (or on skis or snowshoes). Visitors are asked not to park in front of the gate once it is closed.
The closure occurs each year and is based on weather conditions, according to the Deschutes National Forest. More snow is expected in the area this weekend.
