Karen passed on to her Lord on November 30th, 2012 due to cancer. She was 69.

She was born in Clarissa, Minnesota on July 21, 1943, to Arthur & Beatrice Mastrud.

She moved to Bend, Oregon when she was 5 years old. In July 1974, she moved to Caldwell, Idaho where she worked at the Canyon County Courthouse until moving back to Bend in 1983. She worked for the Deschutes County Courthouse until retiring in 2002.

While living in Burns she met many new friends and became reunited with old friends from her past. She joined a knitting group which gave her the nickname "The Afghan Queen". She knitted almost every day since childhood. Aside from knitting she loved camping and fishing. She was also an avid reader, always having a book close by. But most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Dave Clark of Burns; her children, Kerri Lynne of Bend, Kip & Stacey Schossow of Caldwell; Idaho, Kyle & Anita Schossow of Bend, and her stepson, Michael Clark of Canby, California; grandchildren, Sarah, Jeremy, Abigail, Jennifer, Jessica, Nicholas, and Trevor; great-grandchildren, Dorothe, Aniston, Maddox, Camille, Ayla, Lucy, and Sawyer; siblings, Harold & Merilyn Mastrud, Lowell & Sharon Mastrud, Marshall & Dorie Mastrud, Dale & Shelli Mastrud, all of Bend, Mark Mastrud of Tillamook, Arlene Buechner of Salem, Marietta and Harry Lucas of Redmond, Susan & Bill LeBrey, also of Tillamook, and Judy Meyers of Bend; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, older brother, Ron Mastrud, infant daughter, B. Schossow and first husband, Larry Schossow.

She was loved by all who knew her and she will be greatly missed.
