Published: December 04. 2012 4:00AM PST

Bend Spay & Neuter Project is holding its third annual Doggie Coat Drive. The volunteer-driven project aims to provide coats, sweaters and booties for dogs belonging to homeless or displaced people in Central Oregon.

New or gently used coats, sweaters and booties for cats or dogs can be dropped off at Bend Veterinary Clinic, Blue Sky Veterinary Clinic, Bend Pet Express locations and Bend Spay & Neuter Project through Dec. 19. Dog food and bedding will also be accepted.

Items will be distributed through local nonprofit agencies that work with the homeless population.
