A fire in a garage attached to a Redmond home Friday night caused extensive damage but did not breach the fire wall separating the garage from the living area.
Crews from Redmond Fire and Rescue were called to 1511 S.W. 15th St. shortly after 5:30 p.m., where they found flames burning through the roof. Firefighters rescued one of three dogs belonging to the homeowners, and no one was injured.
Damage to the building and its contents is estimated at $130,000. The cause of the fire has not been determined.
