Salem woman, father arrested at court

Published: December 02. 2012 4:00AM PST

SALEM — Authorities say a Salem woman accused of driving under the influence arrived in court Friday with a blood alcohol content of 0.43 percent — more than five times the legal limit.

Marion County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Don Thomson said the judge ordered 36-year-old Stacy Weigart to take the breath test after noticing she was intoxicated. The judge ordered her to be jailed for breaking an earlier release agreement.

As a deputy escorted Weigart to jail, the woman mentioned that her father had driven her to court and he had a warrant out for his arrest — also for driving under the influence. Thomson says 63-year-old Daniel Weigart was arrested in the parking lot.
