Transitional housing inmate escapes

MEDFORD — Oregon prison officials say an inmate released to transitional housing in Jackson County has walked away.

The Department of Corrections said 37-year-old Scott Bradley Wold checked out of his community housing on Nov. 20 and didn’t report back.

He had been serving time since March 2011 for drug and weapons charges at the Columbia River Correctional Institution. He was assigned to the transitional program at the Jackson County Community Justice Transition Center on Oct. 2.

The department said inmates who complete a 180-day program in prison move into the community on transitional leave and spend 90 days supervised by parole officers.
