Donors replace iPads stolen from school

Published: November 20. 2012 4:00AM PST

WILSONVILLE — A small private school in Wilsonville for autistic students had 10 iPads stolen this year, but it has 12 of the tablet computers now thanks to donations.

School director Tricia Hasbrook says the iPads make a huge difference in the lives of the 29 students, many of whom need them to communicate.

The Oregonian reports a thief cut locks to steal two iPads in September and eight more in early November.

The school is now keeping the iPads locked up in a safe.
