Cleve Duncan, 78: Lead singer for the Penguins whose soaring tenor voice helped propel the 1954 doo-wop ballad “Earth Angel (Will You Be Mine)" to rock ’n’ roll immortality, selling more than 10 million copies. Died Nov. 7 in Los Angeles.

Will Barnet, 101: Printmaker and painter known for elegantly stylized portraits and classically composed visions of beautiful women and children. Died Tuesday at his home in Manhattan.
