PORTLAND — Portland police said a gunman pulling a robbery at a bar fired two shots but ran off without any money.
The police said a bartender had closed up The Daily Planet in southeast Portland early Monday when the gunman confronted him and told him to reopen the place.
When the bartender had difficulty with the door, the robber fired a shot, and when the bartender got the door open, the robber fired another shot. But police said the robber then fled out the front door without money. The bartender wasn’t hit.
