High school soccer playoffs in Bend

Four state quarterfinal matches set for Saturday

Published: November 09. 2012 4:00AM PST

A doubleheader at Summit High School highlights a busy day of prep playoff soccer Saturday in Bend, where four OSAA Class 5A state quarterfinal contests are on tap.

The first match of the day kicks off at 11:30 a.m. at Summit, where the Storm girls take on Crescent Valley of Corvallis. That contest will be followed by a second game at Summit, pitting the Storm boys against Cleveland of Portland starting at 3 p.m. The stadium will not be cleared between the girls and boys games, so a single admission will be good for both matches.

Also Saturday, the Bend High girls will host Willamette of Eugene at the 15th Street Field starting at 1 p.m. And the Mountain View boys will entertain Crescent Valley in a match set to start at 1:30 p.m.

Admission to all four state quarterfinal contests, as set by the Oregon School Activities Association, is $6 for adults, $4 for students.

Quarterfinal winners advance to the state semifinal round on Tuesday.
