New pop-up gallery to open in Old Mill

Bend’s Old Mill District has announced a new “pop-up" (read: temporary) gallery will open Wednesday at 425 S.W. Powerhouse Drive, near REI.

The gallery will be named “mapping contemporary" and will feature art ranging from jewelry to large-scale sculptures by regional artists including Mark Rodriguez, mixed media; Galen Ruud, sculpture; Randy Smithey and Holly Rodes-Smithey, sculpture and painting; Pat Clark, printmaking; Julie Winter, printmaking; Patty Freeman Martin, printmaking, painting and drawing; and Ron Schultz, encaustic and printmaking.

The artists’ works have previously displayed at nearby Atelier 6000 and the annual Art in the High Desert, and have been published in the literary magazine High Desert Journal.

The gallery will be open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays.
