The song that auto-plays when you visit Jim Brickman's website is a pleasant, sunny, gently reggae-flavored pop song called “Good Morning Beautiful."
It'd be perfect for a commercial about a cruise ship or something like that.
That said, Brickman — “America's Romantic Piano Sensation," the website says — is coming to Bend in the middle of November, so he's bringing his “On A Winter's Night" holiday tour to match the chilly weather outside.
Joined by some special guests, the platinum-selling and Grammy-nominated Brickman will play classic and contemporary holiday music as well as songs from his latest album, “Believe." Expect lots of solo-piano pyrotechnics, smooth melodies and a generally warm atmosphere that will make the moment you step outside after the show that much harsher.
Jim Brickman; 7:30 p.m. Tuesday; $44, $56 or $73, plus fees, available through the venue; Tower Theatre, 835 N.W. Wall St., Bend; www.towertheatre.org or 541-317-0700.
