John was born on July 28, 1930, in Broken Bow, Nebraska, and was the youngest of nine children. He is survived by his brother, William (Marcille) of Seattle, Washington and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene. He worked at the U.S. Navel Shipyards and the U.S. Forest Service in Washington State. John and Irene retired to La Pine, Oregon, where he was active in several fraternal organizations. After the death of his wife, John moved to Seattle to be near family. John passed away peacefully September 29, 2012, and will be greatly missed.
