Evelyn June Cottengim of Molalla, OR, died on November 2, 2012, in Bend, OR. She was 90 years old.
Evelyn was born to the late John and Esther Wheeler on June 30, 1922, in Percival, Iowa. She
graduated from Bend Senior High School in 1939. She married the late Glenn Cottengim in 1941, and they lived in both Oregon and California before relocating to Molalla, OR, in 1975.
Evelyn worked for Newberry Company and for CEC Corp. in the purchasing department.
She enjoyed quilting and crocheting and also enjoyed singing with the Sweet Adelines. She was an active member of New Horizons Fellowship in Molalla until just before her death.
Evelyn is survived by her two children, Arthur (wife, Phyllis) Cottengim of Moses Lake, WA, and Gwendolyn (husband, Ed) Rives of Bend, OR; five grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren; and also her loving sister, Eva Phelps, of Dufer, OR.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2012, at 2 p.m., at New Horizons Fellowship, located at 901 N. Molalla Avenue, Molalla, OR.
