• Archers compete at senior games: Archers Luke LaPoint of La Pine and Del Moore of Bend recently competed in the Huntsman World Senior Games held in St George, Utah. Competition was held in both target and 3-D archery. LaPoint won the silver metal in target archery, and Moore won gold in both the target and 3-D events. The archery competition drew approximately 200 contestants this year, including archers from all over the U.S., Europe and even the West Indies. The Huntsman Games completed their 26th year this year drawing over 10,000 seniors ages 50 and up. Sports covered a wide array including track and field, swimming, golf, softball and many others.
