• Sisters course offers two ways to golf for free: Aspen Lakes Golf Course is offering three free days of golf around Veterans Day this weekend to current and former members of the U.S. military, as well as discounted green fees to the general public as part of the course's annual canned-food drive.
From Saturday through Monday, active duty, reserve, and retired members of the military can play a free round of golf at the Sisters course. Participating golfers are asked to wear their uniform hat.
On Friday, golfers who donate four nonperishable food items or make a minimum $5 donation will have Aspen Lakes' $45 regular green fee waived.
