Claude Everett Crenshaw, 86, of Bend, after a long battle with cancer, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Crabtree, OR, to Floyd and Lola (Watson) Crenshaw and raised in the Willamette Valley and graduated from Sweet Home High School in 1944.
He married Donna Keys on July 3, 1948, in Sweet Home, OR.
He was in the lumber industry until he retired in 1987. He loved the outdoors and spent time with family camping, fishing and hunting. He and Donna traveled in their RV fulltime for many years and made many close friends in their travels. They lived in Potter Valley, Calif., Lebanon, OR and Grants Pass, OR before settling in Bend, OR
He was a member of the Masons and Elks Lodge.
He is survived by wife, Donna Crenshaw; son, Ray Crenshaw of Rogue River; daughters, Janet Taylor (John) of Redmond, and Marilyn Olsen (Chris) of Grants Pass; sister, Gloria Crenshaw of Pleasant Hill; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father and sister, Viola Crenshaw Deering.
A celebration of life will be from 2 to 5 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 3, at Thousand Trails, 17480 S. Century Drive, in Sunriver, OR
