On October 11, 2012, David lost his 7 year battle with cancer.
He graduated from Bend High School in 1977, and from University of Oregon in 1984, where he earned his degree in Architecture. He managed the Folsom office of Nadel Architecture Firm.
He is survived by his wife, Donna of 17 years; and his 15 year old daughter, Rachael, both of Folsom, CA. He was the son of Bob and Clara Smith, of Bend, OR. and the brother of Becky Smith, of Sarasota, FL, Kim Mathieson (Dave), of McKinnleyville, CA; and Cy Smith (Diane) of Bend, OR.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 2, 2012, at Lakeside Christian Church in Folsom, CA.
