A portion of the Bend Parkway will undergo tree felling work starting Sunday, the Oregon Department of Transportation said in a news release.
The work will take place south of Empire Boulevard and will last for about a week, causing intermittent lane closures in both directions. The work will take place from 7 a.m. to noon. The trees being removed have been identified as dangerous because they are either deteriorating or are already dead.
ODOT crews will also be reducing vegetation along the entire length of the parkway 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. starting Monday and continuing through Thursday. Motorists should use caution and drive safely through work areas, ODOT said.
