Carol Ann Groomes, of Bend, passed away Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at home with her family by her side. She was 60 years old.
A Celebration of Carols Life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at 3:00 p.m., at Aspen Hall, located at 18920 Shevlin Park Road in NW Bend.
Carol was born July, 22, 1952, to Joseph and Lillian (Andrews) Albarella in Bridgeport, CT. She graduated from Anaheim High School, in CA, in 1969, and married her loving husband, Raymond
Groomes, on Aug. 27, 1999, in Coeur dAlene, ID. She worked as an Assistant Manager at the Wal-Mart in Omak, WA, for 13 years and then in Bend for 2 years.
Carol loved going to the beach and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and the holidays and her favorite time of year was Christmas. She loved music and dancing.
Carol is survived by her husband, Ray; her five children, Shane, Shaylynne, Stacy, Jason and Amanda; her father, Joseph and step-mother, Joann; and her twelve beautiful grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lillian.
