Janet Matson works on adding an artistic touch while glazing bowls Thursday evening at Cinder Cone Pottery in preparation for NeighborImpact’s 11th Annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser. The event is designed to raise awareness of hunger issues. This year’s fundraiser will be Nov. 11 at Central Oregon Community College’s Campus Center, 2600 N.W. College Way in Bend. Two meals featuring gourmet soup from Cascade Culinary Institute will be offered at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children ages 12 and younger. Tickets can be purchased online at www.emptybowlsbend.org.
