• Youth wrestling program on tap: The Oregon Basics Wrestling Academy and the Bend Park & Recreation District are teaming up to offer a youth wrestling program for boys and girls in grades three through eight this fall and winter. The program begins Nov. 1 and concludes Jan. 29. Practices are scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at Bend High School. Area school and club coaches will provide the instruction.
Program fee is $99 for park district residents, $134 otherwise, and the registration deadline is Oct. 25. Registration is available in person at the park district office, 799 S.W. Columbia St., and online at bendparksandrec.org. For more information, call the park district at 541-389-7275.
