Published: October 12. 2012 4:00AM PST

Beginning Sunday, the folks at Innovation Theatre Works will begin hosting a new series of films and events at Tin Pan Theater, 869 N.W. Tin Pan Alley, Bend. The SpeakEasy Open Mic Storytelling series’ second-annual Scary Story Slam begins at 6 p.m.

Keep them short and scary because the limit is a maximum of seven minutes. Sign up at the event, or ahead of time by contacting brad@ innovationtw.org. Scariest story of the night wins a prize.

Following the slam will be a screening of Roger Corman’s “The Pit and the Pendulum," based on the work by Poe.

Admission is $5 at the door.
