The Deschutes River Conservancy will receive a $50,000 grant to develop a comprehensive water management strategy.
The grant will be awarded through the Bureau of Reclamation’s WaterSMART Cooperative Watershed Management Program.
The conservancy will work with the Deschutes Water Alliance to improve in-stream flows and provide more reliable water supplies to farmers. The organizations will also work to meet future municipal water demands.
