SALEM — Authorities say two people took a stolen car to visit a friend at a Salem court appearance.
The Salem Statesman Journal reports the two were arrested Monday after the hearing in a stolen 1991 Honda Accord.
Marion County sheriff’s deputies say they found shaved car keys, latex gloves and cordless drills used to steal cars.
Deputies arrested the driver, 26-year-old Jennifer Sue Dalbey of Keizer, and a passenger, 30-year-old Robert Wayne Cooper of Salem.
They’re charged with unlawful use and entry of a vehicle and possession of a stolen vehicle. Cooper is also charged with possession of burglary tools and parole violation.
