The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office is removing the level 2 pre-cautionary evacuation notice for all Sisters area residents as a result of the improvement in the Pole Creek Fire.
Residents from the affected areas should be aware that fire conditions still exist and will probably continue until seasonal weather conditions change. There is still a large area south and west of Sisters that remains closed because of the fire.
