Martha Gregg, 32, of Redmond, died early this morning on Old Bend-Redmond Highway in a one-vehicle crash south of 93rd Street, according to the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office.
Gregg’s southbound 1992 Honda Accord for reasons unknown crossed the northbound lane, left the roadway and struck a tree, according to the sheriff’s office.
The accident was reported to 911 at 1:42 a.m. Road and weather conditions do not appear to be a factor; the crash is under investigation, according to a sheriff’s news release.
Gregg, trapped inside the car, died at the scene, the sheriff’s office stated. The highway was closed for about three hours while sheriff’s deputies and emergency responders worked the scene.
