Central Oregon outpaced the state in the growth of brewery jobs from 2010 to ’11, according to a report the Oregon Employment Department released last week.

The region also had the most brewing jobs per capita of any in the state, with one job in the brewing industry for every 390 people, according to the report.

People who worked at Central Oregon breweries and brewpubs last year earned $28,460, which is $1,200 more than the state average, according to another Oregon Employment Department report issued this month.
