Participants swim toward the finish line of the Cascade Lakes Swim Series 3,000-meter swim on Friday at Elk Lake. The series, which takes place over the course of three days, consists of 500-, 1,000-, 1,500-, 3,000- and 5,000-meter events. Races continue today and Sunday.
