George and Carol Dodd, of Bend, sample a variety of jams and spreads in front of the Packer Orchards and Bakery booth during the first Bend Farmers Market of the season on Wednesday. Bend Farmers Markets are held downtown from 3 to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays through early October, and at St. Charles Medical Center from 2 to 6 p.m. on Fridays through late September.
