Shadow Lake Fire brings the smoke

A helicopter carrying a water bucket flies past the Shadow Lake Fire near Mount Washington. Accelerated by strong winds and low humidity, the lightning-caused blaze pushed northward Monday, its smoke blanketing U.S. Highway 20 and closing a section of the Pacific Crest Trail.
