Mary passed away peacefully at Hospice House November 3rd after a long struggle with Parkinson's. She was 75.
Mary was born to Edwin and Winnifred Fish at home in Bandon, Oregon. She
grew up on the family Cranberry Bog. As a young woman she worked on the Cranberry Bog and sang in the church choir and loved singing duets with her sister, Margaret. She attended school until she met and married her husband, William Hall on December 22, 1951, in Bandon, Oregon.
They moved to Alaska in 1953 while Bill was in the Army, and then moved back to Oregon in 1955, finally coming to the Central Oregon area in 1957.
After her children were born Mary became a homemaker and great Mom, devoting her life to her family. She was loved for her warm and gentle way.
She belonged to Eastern Star for over 30 years and enjoyed going through the chairs, especially the Star Points. She was Worthy Matron 1980-1981.
She enjoyed Home Extension, doll making, crafts, sewing, and traveling.
Mary is survived by her husband, Bill Hall; a sister, Margaret Maxey; two brothers, Art Fish and John Fish; two children, Rita Smyth and Daniel Hall; and nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandchild, Joshua; and a great-grandchild, Niccole.
A funeral service will be held at Deschutes Memorial Garden November 9, 2009 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Partners in Care Hospice House, 2075 NE Wyatt Ct., Bend, OR 97701.
