About once a year, Dana and Susan Robinson stop in Bend to play their sprightly, Appalachian-bred folk songs for a house full of music fans. Now is that time.
The Robinsons’ tunes are a blend of bluegrass and folk, world-music influence (especially Celtic), and stories of life in America, particularly the rural parts, all wrapped up in an interesting mix of traditional folk and modern flair.
The duo’s most recent album, “Big Mystery,” is out now and gaining traction on folk radio playlists across the country. You can hear a few samples from it at www.robinsongs.com.
Dana and Susan Robinson; 7 p.m. Monday, doors open 6:30 p.m.; $15 suggested donation in advance, $17 at the door; Windance House Concerts, Bend; to reserve a spot or get directions to the venue, call Jeanine at 541-306-0048.
