Need new winter gear? The pickings are plentiful

Published: October 17. 2009 4:00AM PST

Through a sea of merchandise, Jessica Linsky, 45, of Welches, pushes a shopping cart full of snowboards made by her company, Snowbunny snowboards, Friday during setup for today’s Skyliners Winter Sports Swap. The event, a Central Oregon tradition for more than 40 years, is a fundraiser for the Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation. Admission is $3 per person or $6 for a family. Admission goes directly into the athlete scholarship fund. The opportunity to purchase new and used winter sports equipment runs today from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Mt. Bachelor Bus Barn, 115 S.W. Columbia Ave., in Bend.
