Have you been to the Old Richmond Church in the ghost town of Richmond, northeast of Prineville?
I haven’t. But I’ve seen pictures. It looks like an amazing venue to really hear an artist.
It’s a bit of a drive, sure. But if you want to check out a show there, Sunday provides your last chance for a while when longtime Portland picker Tony Furtado performs at the old church.
Furtado needs no introduction; over the course of 14 albums and many years, his guitar skills and penchant for tuneful roots-rock have made him a favorite in Bend.
He’s currently touring behind his new album, “Deep Water,” which is his first release of all original songs.
Tony Furtado, with Mia Dyson ; 6 p.m. Sunday, a barbecue begins at 5 p.m.; $20 for the show, $7 for the barbecue; Old Richmond Church, Richmond; 541-934-2140.
