Metolius resident, William Ronald Robertson, passed away at the age of 61, following an extended illness. Mr. Robertson was born in Grundy, VA, to parents, Brownie & Dorothy (Roberts) Robertson.
He served two years in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era. He attended two years of college, and was employed as a long-haul truck driver. On Dec. 24, 1986, he married Thelma Krueger in Porterville, California.
His special interests included fishing, camping and Harley Davidson motorcycles.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma of Metolius; children, Lara Anderson of Beaverton, James Robertson of Bend, Jason Robertson of Portland, Beverly Krueger Lewellan of Crooked River Ranch, Robert Krueger of Terrebonne, Joseph Samek of Redmond, Ronald Peterson of Metolius and Darrell Peterson of Burns; 16 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren; and brother, James Hensley of Atlanta, GA. He was preceded in death by a child.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday Sept. 27, 2 p.m. at the family home, 500 8th St., in Metolius.
