Roger was born in Baker, Montana. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. Roger was an educator for a short time and a tireless union representative for more than 20 years for the Montana Education Association and the Oregon Education Association.
After his retirement in 2000, he spent his days in Powell Butte, OR, working in his woodshop, camping, fishing, and writing and performing cowboy poetry.
Roger is survived by his wife of over 30 years, Stella Traweek; his four children, Susan Miller of Salem, OR, Gregory Traweek of Salem, OR, Marla Traweek of Centreville, VA, and Justin Traweek of Bend, OR; his two granddaughters, Kacey Miller and Kaytlin Miller; and his brother, Howard Traweek of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.
