Playground is work, but for a good cause

Oregon Timberworks employees Bill Sturm, left, and Matt Witnauer, both of Bend, work on a new playground structure Thursday at the Ronald McDonald House in Bend. Oregon Timberworks, in Bend, is building the playground from wood cut earlier this year by members of the Timber Framers Guild during their Western Conference in Sunriver in the hands-on workshop for youth. Children from Central Oregon, including some from Ronald McDonald House, helped. The new structure is part of the Backyard Renovation efforts at the Ronald McDonald House.
