Sarah Hermaski, of Tualatin, jumps her horse, Dunvegan’s Gaelic Lore, during competition Friday in the Amateur Owner/Junior Jumpers class at the 2009 Oregon High Desert Classics horse show. The equestrian action continues today at J Bar J Boys Ranch on Hamby Road in east Bend and features Grand Prix competition starting at 5 p.m. The Grand Prix winner will claim a $20,000 prize. Spectators are welcome free of charge. Now in its 20th year, the High Desert Classics continue through Sunday, take two days off, and resume again Wednesday for five more days of hunter-jumper competition.
